About Lisa

I joined Gloria Nilson & Co. after 25 years of editorial management in the corporate training and healthcare publishing professions. As a published author and trade magazine managing editor, I ran a 100+ page monthly journal for healthcare practitioners that consistently ranked in the top 3 in its market space and grossed $2.5 million in revenue annually, without ever missing a deadline.

Detail Orientation. My trained managing editor’s eye will help ensure that any inadvertent mistakes are corrected to your satisfaction and your contracts are signed and delivered with the price, terms, and conditions you agreed upon with no last-minute surprises. 

Sense of Urgency. My project management abilities and deadline-driven mindset will ensure that none of your critical time points are ever missed at any time during the negotiation process, because I will be following up with every key player in your transaction at regular intervals, including attorneys, mortgage officers, title officers, home inspectors, and contractors. 

Research. The same persistence I used to scour the four corners of the internet to find an obscure reference I needed for a feature story I was writing will be the same persistence I will use to find the home that fits your family’s wants, needs, and must-haves. 

Marketing. If you’re selling a home, I have many creative marketing solutions in my toolbox. As an experienced content developer, I can create blogs, vlogs, and live videos and publish them on my dedicated social media channels at no additional cost to you. Going above and beyond simply “listing it and leaving it,” I will work diligently to promote your home from the time it goes on the market until you accept an offer and we take it off the market. 

Problem-Solving. Publishing a magazine, much like a real estate transaction, has many moving pieces that need to fit together perfectly—like a puzzle—to be complete. Sometimes just one piece can hold up the entire process, and the project manager, whether that’s a managing editor or a realtor, needs to know the fine art of diplomatic negotiation to get the process moving in the right direction again. 

Professional Courtesy. Lastly, being in the business of communication my entire professional life, you have my personal guarantee that when you sign on with me as a client you will always know exactly where you are in home buying/selling lifecycle. On a personal note…I’m a mostly lifelong resident of central New Jersey, but I have also lived briefly in Florida twice, both times in the Daytona Beach area, as well as a few years living in the Philadelphia suburbs during college. I share a house with Jake, my 10-year-old retired racing greyhound, and Annabelle, a Maine coon I rescued after Superstorm Sandy. My favorite hobbies are photography, drumming, gardening, and home decorating, and I really love spending some time at the Jersey Shore.
